Social sciences are not easier than STEM. They just seem easy because there aren't actually many definitive answers in them.
Think about it, humanity is extremely good at solving technical problems, but social problems are FAR more difficult. We live in an era of widespread unhappiness, depression, mental illness, and violence. No one has ever solved these issues because it's much harder than doing math.
