How long do photons take to decay?
How long would photons from a 3W laser and 450nm wavelength take to decay, what distance?
Is it true that photons of such strength can remain in the environment for hours, dirtying it and causing eye damage if they get into you?

Think of it like this, a strong laser, 9 times stronger than daylight gets activated, all those photons spread on the environment, if your eyes come in contact with it you are getting eye damage, is that how it would work?

Tell your brother to not use that machine in the house. It is actually a fire hazard, the laser beam might as well hit the curtains or something. Also tell him to install a warning system with big red electric reds spelling MACHINE IS ON WARNING out of his room whenever the machine is on, he just has to plug the cable to the same switch that powers the machine. Put another switch on the door that is only closed if the door is closed so he wont operate it with the door open. But he should do that on some annex built near your house, not on the house.

No and for very good reason - its massless. A massless particle cannot have any internal processes and possess any degrees of freedom which depend on time in the absence of interaction with other particles, because of special relativity. Well, open a textbook with a chapter on special relativity and you will learn it quickly. Special relativity is really not hard, so just go ahead learn it. You will never be doing anything more complicated than quadratic equations and some linear algebra. Its like the easiest thing ever.

This thing has no enclosure, you say meters but how much? There are 13 ft in direct line from my door to the activation point, there is a mirror mounted in a wall near the activation point.
So in case of a fire how could I escape? I can't go through the room it's in, but since it's the central room, I am fucking locked
