What are some good methods for making simplified mental models of large amounts of information that is too complex and concept-dense to understand fully in the amount of time you have to learn it?
Anybody who is doing research or even just has pretty much any white collar job has to triage their information intake in some way and simplify it in order to do their work. What methods have you found that get good results for you?
I guess everybody develops their own ad hoc methods for this over time and maybe there are some well known methods for this that I don't know about, so I hope some anons can share theirs.
