Have we created scripts that can detect whether or not a text sample was written by a male or female? How accurate can it be?

Also, if such an algorithm was made, or wasn't made, what patterns would the algorithm detect in the text sample that can give away that it's author was indeed a female?

There are females on this board and I want to get better at having to not interact or entertain them.
