I had normal pneumonia in 2019. I had symptoms for over 6 months. Serious lung infections seem to always cause "long" pneumonia.

you can train your smell.

get some spices, coffee, teas or order some aromatic oils on amazon.
then smell them, each and try to remember how it is supposed to smell.

worked for me.
