If the North American healthcare system is on the brink of collapse from multi-faceted reasons and covid is the straw the broke the camels back. It's not far fetched to say Romania's healthcare system was poor even pre-covid. This is even without looking at Romania's elderly population or even the average health of their citizens.
You cannot compare Romania to the rest of the world or even the EU. Devil is in the details and i feel like covid has been used as a scapegoat for many preexisting socioeconomic issues.
I'm not saying covid doesn't exist, but if the covid spotlight shines on a poor country, you're going to see a lot of issues blanketed by the covid narrative
