What are your thoughts on the upcoming James Webb Telescope? Do you think the launch and deployment will be successful? Do you think it's overhyped, or will it's observations really change how we view the universe?

Launch will go well. Something will go wrong during deployment but it will be partially functional with a reduced lifespan. It will be of moderate value but far less than when it was scheduled to be originally launched.

The JWST program was started in 1995 and it was originally intended to have produced a functioning space telescope by 2007 at a cost of $500 milllion.
It is currently 2021 & they still haven't launched it and the cost is now over $15 billion.
JWST was already a massive, massive failure a decade ago

The Ariane V has a great track record and they'll probably do some extra checks for this one.
