>>13859982I'm a 25yo male, healthy weight but physically inactive since the start of the pandemic, who recovered last year from Covid infection(PCR tested). I had light symptoms and 4 months of long covid. What that means:
- I was tired for 3 days
- I lost my sense of taste and smell completely and it gradually came back over the span of 4 months.
Other than that I was asymptomatic, I shared spliffs with 3 friends while the symptoms mentioned above started to creep up and I didn't infect any of them, all 3 made a test.
Now I'm wondering. As a young person (U30) the risk in my country of getting hospitalized with a covid infection is 0,2% at worst, much less when one is not obese or at risk due to diabetes etc. Is it smart in my position to start getting the vaccine and subsequent booster shots over the next few years to avoid a possible reinfection down the road? When I look at the numbers and read studies that show recovered being as protected if not better than vaccinated I wonder if it's really worth it considering the possible risks and my covid symptoms were a non-issue.
