I noticed I make more simple grammar mistakes and typos when I have been spending a lot of time on social media rather than reading books. For example, the past three weeks I've been almost exclusively reading for my thesis and I'm seeing an improvement in my grammar when writing notes and stuff.
Is there any scientific theory about this? Has anyone studied the effects of social media on people's writing?
