that "some" is probably a negligible amount that has had insane luck or not made many risky predictions
there are many different fields in science and thus they have varying degrees of expertise in different fields

I think this is actually true. Immergent ideas and concepts (related to creativity and problem solving) are just echoes from the future.

I find that an idea i'm toiling away at in my mind will randomly show up in my path in some form or shape, almost like my future self needed the knowledge for that exact moment and sent the initial idea to learn it to the past.

Well. Maybe the scientific community is just jaded. I mean, there have been thousands and thousands of psychics and teleinetics and precognists. And all of them said they could do something, and all of them agreed to an experiment testing that claim. Out of all the thousands and thousands of "psychics" that agreed to do an experiment there have been 0 who could demonstrate it. Now generally in science when you do 1k+ experiments and they all turn out to disprove your hypothesis you understandably get a bit pessimistic.
