Start with the Egyptian Papyrii, then move on to the 9 Chapters. Once you've finished with that you can resume with the the Babylonians and learn trigonometry and Quadratic Equations. Then you can stop by at Euclid. Once you have done these, you can move on to Bhaskaracharya. After him, read the works of Cardano and Viete, then you can end with the logic of Boole. After Boole, move on to Turing, then NJWildberger's course on ChromaGeometry to understand Relativity.

Same here, anon. No shame in it. Throughout school I slacked off quite excessively in regards to math. I've learned a lot now and even after taking a break for a few months and going back to it, I was able to retain all of the information I learned. You're gonna make it bro.

Khan Academy is good.

It helped me a lot with some exams. Sometimes I go back to remember the basic I'm too ashamed to ask anyone about it.

(I often forget how to do long division)

Im in med school right now and i hate it, i want to switch to engineering but i havent done math since highschool, does self studying actually work for maths?

I mean I self-studied just about everything in math. I learnt a lot of algebra and geometry that high school didnt correctly teach me from Khan Academy, then learnt linear algebra from watching MIT OpenCourseWare and doing exercises for myself. I usually discuss math problems on IRC or Discord chats or whatever to get a better feel for it.
