Wanna know how he got that good?
His parents were wealthy Hong Kongers that were educated in STEM and Asians are very loyal to parents and society. This is a huge advantage. That's not to say he isn't smart too, but take any smart person and cover him/her with advantages like those, and he will reach a high place provided he wants to.
So it's a mixture of wanting to, and being offered the chance to flourish.
