I tried to solve 4th degree equations as a teenager. I knew quintic was impossible and that there were already formulas for the 4th degree but i tried to come with a formula without looking.

You are an idiot who has clearly never read either book. The majority of the substance of entry-level abstract algebra is what YOU can do with your own reasoning. You get the same experience with the graduate level book as the undergrad unless you actively avoid proving theorems. (btw, Jacobson’s books actually have more substance than this meme choice)
