Why are humans unable to produce true orange/yellow eyes like cats? What kind of pigment is missing in our eyes? I know that all brown eyes have green and blue underneath. If you remove melanin, it will show green. If you remove even more, it will go blue. And then violet -> red.

But why is it not possible for us to have yellow? And no, hazel is not like pic related.
