Building good habits are all about making it easy to build good habits in my opinion, the forcing yourself through willpower approach is good if you can do it but for me i haven't had much success through it, instead i find ways to make using will power easier, like the pomodoro study technique helps me will myself to study since i tell myself "just finish this 25 minute segment". I also found that the biggest spur for me was nofap since I was a chronic masturbater. Now that i quit fapping, and i also take cold showers and workout i find that doing other things which require will power aren't as hard.
