A lot of young people just get strapped to the escalator without thinking and get funneled into college. People who waited a year are getting antsy.
Its not just about study or learning quality, its about life quality- living with people, meeting people, being a body in the world, riding your bike to class, going on dates, gathering the library.
A lot of subjects just can't be zoomed, a lot shouldn't be.
Ofc there are studies which suggest the "old ways" are superior:
