I am just curious what you guys think. I never post or lurk here, but I cant think of where else to post this. There was a thread up on /pol/ about it, and there have been threads on /x/, but I have never seen any scientific perspective on what gnosis/kundalini is.

This was my reply to a post before the thread got deleted for being off topic. What do you guys think?

It's just some weird neurological thing that happens to us during extreme states of consciousness. If you are near death or on a battlefield you can sometimes experience samadhi and gnosis spontaneously. It's there as some sort of survival mechanism and religious faith is based on it. Absolutely retarded and misinformed people can achieve gnosis and think they are God with all the answers for everything. All it does is help you map things out almost instantaneously so that you can achieve the means to your survival. You see things clearly enough to do that. Tell me if I am wrong because I don't get what else the experience could possibly be from a scientific point of view. We have complex neurological systems and very advanced pattern recognition. We get something like the Eureka effect because of this. Things just suddenly make sense like tumblers in a lock have just fallen into place.
