10 days after first symptoms my taste and smell came back(also nose got unclogged so that makes sense). not gonna lie. i spent 3 days in bed under a blanket hydrating as i always do when i go down with a cold and the headache was not the most comfortable thing in the world.

If COVID is as dangerous as they say why won't the government get people to eat right and work out? Those two things are the most effective factors in preventing respiratory virus complications. I'm not saying send half the country to fat camp, but we don't even have any pro-exercise ad campaigns aimed at mitigating the damage caused by the virus.

This. I got covid and recovered with no problems, but I admit it was pretty shitty for the few days I had it.
I am 100% confident that if it were not for the lockdown and its indirect effects on my health (no gym = general lack of exercise, less incentive to go outside = lower vitamin D, etc.), I would've recovered much faster and with a whole lot less suffering.
But I'm young and healthy in general. I can only imagine how the lockdown negatively affected the recoveries of people that were already at risk (overweight, old, or had any preexisting conditions). I'd go so far as to say that it probably caused the deaths of many of those borderline cases.
