Undergrad level physics is the best indicator of genius though. If you fail at undergrad physics you're definitely a brainlet. But if you easily understand undergrad physics you will understand graduate and research physics just as easily.

I'm gonna be honest with you senpai. Undergrad physics is all you actually need to know.

Everything beyond that is a bit useless.the majority of problems you encounter in the real world employ either undergrad physics or computational techniques. I can't tell you what I actually got in terms of skills from graduate physics courses (that weren't computational focused).
