Should STEM universities filter applicants based on intellifence?
I'll use my personal experience as an example of destructive effect current screening practises have on individuals

>Enroll into a t130 university, t80
>Study for 4 years, get 2 years worth of credits
>Make the realization that I'm just too slow on the uptake compared to my peers and can't do my tasks in time
It's a common story, people who are less intelligent are let in, put in debt and under immense strain to perform when that's impossible for them. It's torture.
But before you say "they should have known better or had dropped out!" it shouldn't be the individuals job to screen himself before applying. That's what the admission process is for and people have no idea how far their abilities will carry them.
Discuss. I personally believe we should institute mandatory IQ tests and allocate students based on that. Highschool math doesn't function as one anymore
