Short temper tends to be the easiest answer in a village setting, so both of those facts ads up and you basically got the reason why they act like that.
You also got the shortness problem which causes little man syndrome, but that's only an issue when they deal with white people (and/or don't touch grass like most of the weirdos on the internet)
