At maximum entropy (whatever this means), you cannot do anything. You cannot measure things, you cannot exist, there is literally nothing to do because everything has been done.
At zero entropy, there is also nothing to do, because you are stuck in place, and the number of possible things you can do are based on some rules you give the system (time enters here).
Entropy is more like a philosophical statement which question symmetries in nature, because entropy is asymmetrical--once the entropy is formed, once you have identified something as being something, at some point it's going to break down, and the only way to keep it from breaking down is to break down other things to compensate.
Entropy is the scientific jargon of "You cannot have your cake in the refrigerator and have the cake in your tummy at the same time." The universe is a simple place.
