Could rainwater be used to produce electricity?
Imagine a giant reverse water well, that has a giant bucket that slowly fills up with water and as it fills up it goes down from becoming heavier.
Once it reaches peak capacity it slowly sinks into a giant hole and there's a counter weight, the downward pressure generated electricity, and when it reaches the bottom, the water empties and goes back up, on the way up the counter weight also generates electricity.
