"orbit" is an archaic term, useful only for teaching children the basics of gravitation. All massive bodies move simply on the sum of the forces they are subjected to. Orbits are not real. The sun does not orbit the earth, the earth does not orbit the sun. You could say that, in a simplified (say, sun-earth) system, the sun orbits the center of mass of the system, which happens to be close to the center of the sun, and that the earth also orbits this center of mass, which still happens to be close to the center of the sun.
