Instead, he would talk about how some specific problems worked, and then spend 30 minutes of the class period simply filling out the homework sheet in front of us. He never actually taught us the concepts behind the math, and he knew this. In order to stop his class from failing, he put up the answers to homework the day before it was due and allowed us to take our tests home to finish them. Everyone in the class understood nothing but still passed because they just got the answers on their homework.
I myself got a "B" by just copying the answers that the teacher gave me, despite not knowing literally any precalculus.
Because it was california, the teacher couldn't get fired because of the union.
