Any good books about electronics? I'm doing a course and nobody has told me how to estimate some of the values in let say BJTs

Thanks. I still can't figure out how to calculate an emitter current without an resistor though. Something like that, kinda stumped on getting Ic but I have b so Ib would be fine also

no, it genuinely is frustrating to find rough values for things like rbb and r0 and rpi. textbooks tend to be especially garbage for that sort of thing tho

Maybe LTspice is your friend. Or evercircuit.com which is less abstact so better for beginners.

Assume beta = 200 if you're not looking at a datasheet for a particular part.

Ic = beta * Ib
Ie = Ic + Ib

So, if you supply 10 mA to the base then the collector current will be: Ic = 200 * 10 mA = 2 A. The emitter current will then be: Ie = 2.01 A.

Note: It's been years since I've done this.

I'm forgetting a few at the moment, but with these you should be alright.

If you're willing to read India authors (lots and lots of formulas and solved problems) look for bakshi and godse books, there's a bunch of them,

Not a book but I highly recommend the circuit simulator applet for playing around and intuiting circuits, I found it useful when I was doing circuit theory

r1, and r3 which creates a voltage divider, by connecting r2 and base, you let some current flow into base.
Now in ideal world, output would be hfe times input, but in real life, when input is very little, nothing happens. To counter it, this is what's done.
