The vast bulk of the waste is low level stuff like lab coats or shoes worn at a power plant. It only needs moderate containment.
The high level stuff is already in concrete casts that can last hundreds of years.
Nuclear waste is a literal non issue propaganda

I was thinking of that, isn't radioactivity what heats up the magma in the first place? You'd have to launch it into the magma though so it doesn't cool off as crust, maybe just a suicide drone that swims as deep as it can into the earth.

Orbital missile platform. But that brings us back to the "but what if the rocket trying to drag it out of the gravity well blows up?"
So I guess the railgun anon's idea is the best where safety and economical viability are concerned. Bonus points for that setup is being a bit more difficult to weaponize against someone on the same planet.

It's better to reuse and refine it, also, launching it into the sky is a bad idea because if there's an accident... well... you then have radioactive waste raining down on you and everyone else.
Reusing spent nuclear fuel is already proving to be valuable.

This is the correct answer. Current nuclear reactors (in the US) are once-through that use maybe 3% of the available fuel. The remaining is thrown out and called waste.
I can't believe fucking France of all places has the most sane policies.
