I just used calculus to make a 3D game and physics engine so I could integrate realistic boob jiggle physics.

In all seriousness, the people doing the most impactful work for society use calculus often. If you arent one of these people, you dont need to learn it.

If you just want to make a game you should just find a good engine and learn its API. I wish everyone would learn calculus but realistically you are not going to be using it unless you find something you want to make that has no suitable framework out there.

I found calculus enlightening when we used it to generate 3D models of simple objects like vases. Not sure how you convert or even write the math for a computerized rendering, but that tangible result made math click.
