What do you guys actually do for work? Is there a place for material scientists in the job market? My college is really pushing people towards this major. Is it... fun?

Most interesting field of chemistry imo. Studying it now, doing a masters on corrosion of experimental nuclear fuel.

Hey bud thanks for asking, MS in materials chemistry here. After I graduated, I completely abandoned my field and decided to be a biochemist in pharma instead. Make a ton of money now. Good luck with your studies :)
