Hi anons, computer science fag here.

I burnt out in the second half of this year and my grades plummeted, but i'm on the rise again. Hopefully i wont have to repeat any papers.

My question is this: I want to be a software engineer, and I am prepared to be a massive autodidact to do that. However, my based dad let me know that our country's polytechnic offers a software development degree as an alternative to university. It is accredited, dont worry.

Can any NZ fags in particular comment on this? Is it better to just go down the polytech route, or is that uni computer science degree valuable?
