existence of quantization at small scale - despite us knowing quite a bit about quantum mechanics, no one really knows why quantization (of energy levels in a potential field, space, time, etc) even exists. We built an entire field based on this, but have no idea why it is happening

I dont see why the laws of matter and their interactions wouldn't still hold true in a fractal dimension? Like why shouldn't all gamma interactions with matter still occur in a non integer dimension ?

You got my point entirely wrong. I meant it as in awe that we got both problems to even have solutions in the first place, being highlighted systems of their respective fields. Of course theories have imperfections, given how chaotic the physical world is it's almost miraculous we can even predict anything at all.
