I dont get why anyone would trust anyone in a position of authority who doesnt have a phd in pure maths. Like is it really so hard to get your phd in maths before going to med school or law school or getting your phd in whatever it is you actually want to research in? Imagine how much more advanced civilization would be if we would keep all the midwits out of physics, chemistry, and biology until they prove they are worth listening to by getting their maths phd
