Rumania is going to work with the US company Nuscale to build a 12-module small nuclear reactor (SMR). This would be the 2nd planned (other is in Wyoming/Utah/Idaho).
Is it really gonna happen? East Europe countries have pretty lax standards so it might actually get built. According to the US Embassy site, the LCOE is going to be roughly the same (if not lower) than solar + storage.
