>>13821132Have you prayed for your soul today anon? Maybe god will save you from all this suffering you're going through.
Consciousness is a result of physical interactions between particles which is what your brain is made out of. It is physics and chemistry, nothing else. There is no separation between mind and body, they are one and the same. Every thought, subconscious or conscious, every feeling, everything you think about is a result of activations of neurons in your brain which is a result from physical interaction between particles. There's no soul dimension where souls reside in. So yes, you can create consciousness inside a virtual world ran by a turing complete marble computer.
You dualists are beyond retarded. But okay. Lets assume dualism to be true. Lets assume there is some mechanism of action where choices come from a soul instead of body. You would necessarily have to agree that those choices influence known particles in reality somehow like when you make a choice to move your muscles which are activated by electrons in your synapses. It follows that this supernatural mechanism of action at least has some influence over known particles for which we have a fairly good understanding of how they behave. So your mechanism of action is literally breaking known physics because without a soul, those electrons wouldn't behave the way they do. But that's okay. Maybe our physics is just incomplete. After all, newton's model of gravity was incomplete too. If that's the case, then why can't you write down an extended set of equations that model electrons to include your mechanism of action? Whenever you ask a dualist to write down a physical model for how they think it all works they start shitting in their pants because they know they can't do it because they're wrong.
Consciousness is physical, there is no soul. You're wrong.
