>>13813301Schizophrenia is commonly conceived as a spectrum disorder with various types of subdiagnoses like schizotypy and classic schizophrenia.
It's a set of behavioral traits that a person might exhibit. You don't need to exhibit all traits to get diagnosed with schizophrenia. More specifically, I don't know why you would want to get diagnosed with schizophrenia. It's understood to be one of the worst and most negative mental illnesses there are and people diagnosed with it are routinedly subjected to forced treatment, often happen to be institutionalized or imprisoned and are barred from working a lot of jobs because of 'security' concerns.
I don't know to what degree 'schizophrenia' is heritable because studies contradict each other all the time (the heritability part varies from environmentally induced to 90 %) or even self-contradict. If you want to know whether or not you're 'predisposed' to schizophrenia, you should exhibit the following traits.
-Your family has a history of mental illness, specifically depression, bipolar or schizophrenia.
-Wishful thinking and/or new interests in 'odd' stuff (religion, occultism etc.)
-Disinterest in or even active withdrawal from social activities.
-Unstable sleep patterns and difficulty differentiating dream from reality.
-Any drug habit, especially cannabinoids and psychedelic drugs.
-Having a childhood diagnosis of ADHD or/and autism.
-Below average IQ, especially below average verbal IQ is associated with schizophrenia.
