What is your major and what is your future career plan? Do you think you will make it in the academia rat race or do you plan on going into industry?

Math & Philosophy double major. On the academia rat race for sure. I hate normal life and working jobs. I'm fine sinking or swimming in academia and just rotting there for life. There's no other effective way of coping with reality than exploring the boundaries of human knowledge and venturing into the unknown. Maybe a nerd waifu will be found along the way. Fingers crossed

Majored in history, currently in law school.
Got into a top PhD program but the academia route for the humanities is rough at the moment and I needed a stable source of income quickly.
Plan is to graduate/pass the bar. After that work big law hell for a couple years so I can pay off debt, build savings, and then add it to my resume. After that maybe open up a comfy small practice in a place I'll like to start a family. Maybe do a part time phd program for legal history and write a few books, idk

currently Chemistry but depending on how good I get at math i'll change to physics. I'd like to be a chemist mainly or physicist if that works out doesnt really matter as long as Im doing work, I'd staying away from academia unless I move to Russia or something

Senior in math and classics (latin).
I'm taking a gap year to solely study for the GRE and LSAT to get a jd/mba from a T10 and to work on some personal projects that could potential turn into businesses (I have enough saved up to live a year without working)
Is this stupid?
I keep having doubts and entertain the possibility that I would prefer getting a phd in math and doing research, but other than my senior thesis I have no experience doing research in math (and I don't want to do some biomathematics "let's solve create some PDE's and approximate")
