Why does my intelligence fluctuate? Every other month or so, I feel dumber but then it peaks and I feel the smartest. I'm thinking it's because of my mood swings, which I'm guessing is bipolar. What is the science behind my condition?

OP I have experienced this cycle.
Mostly related to my ability to focus and reason for long periods of time.
Make sure you aren't surrounded by assholes and other petty distractors.
Return to the problems you're working on even during off hours; shower, bus ride, and at work, etc.
If you're not suffering a burnout you should be able to maintain.
