>>13809892Fuck warp travel, just build something that goes 99.99%c, hop on, and blast off towards your destination in a medically induced coma (Or awake if you want to be, doesn't make a difference). Relatively speaking if you're zooming around at 99.99c then time is passing at 1.414% of Earth time from whatever craft you're in. So going to Alpha Centauri would take you 4.367 years when observed from Earth, but only like 0.06175 years (like 22.55 days or whatever) by your observation. So just do that, go orbit your nearest space mass so time is even slower relatively speaking. Then wait a couple years from your observation and a couple centuries have passed in Earth time.
Either one of those Earth retards has figured out an ftl way to travel and can come pick you up with minimal aging consequences on your behalf (Cause really you've only been out there for a year or two), or they haven't figured ftl travel out yet and you can go back to Earth where hopefully they haven't blown themselves up or whatever and you end up being a couple centuries in the future from where you started. Negligible consequences aside from everyone you knew and loved being dead if that's an issue for you.
