As currently a cs student, I want to get into machine learning and to become a researcher. I don't want to become a swe and be stuck with a company that only does research for their own products that I don't really care about. I want to help the world, it sounds naive i know, but I don't want to be stuck in an office knowing that my work isn't benefiting anyone besides the company. Too bad i'm an idiot too, am i even in the correct field.
