To me its clear that facebook has no future. Its the leaded gas of telecommunication and has been proven time and time again to cause harm at a massive scale.
Meta is a distraction. It has utterly deranged presentation materials, but facebook has been making that kinda shit for a decade. (Remember chairs are like facebook?)

There IS a future for the metaverse but its too complicated and divergent from scifi depictions, so the sales people are huffing paint trying to think of ways to make it attractive to idiots and children.
