A tungsten rod getting irradiated with 850W of electromagnetic radiation which induces UHF alternating currents within the metal. These currents may escape from the top of the rod to come back into it, but to do so they have to cross the air, ionizing it and effectively lighting it on fire. Once this happens, the electromagnetic radiation keeps the air ionized by keeping its electrons off the nuclei
I call it the electromagnetic candle, and it's similar to the HFVTTC

For now it has no practical application other than helping me better understand electromagnetism. I'm looking forward to making more experiments with it.
It may also work as a WiFi/Bluetooth jammer, since it runs at the same frequency
