what are some essential software you use, recommend, and want to know about? it has to be /sci/ related.
I use a lot of mathplotlib and numpy. I mean matlab is more aesthetic if all you do is scientific computing, but... free shit. Is GNU octave good?
anyways I'm looking for some kind of free software that will help me remember things. I need to remember a bunch of definition and charts.
