Why are doctors so incompetent?

Every time a doctor has given me advice regarding any topic I intimately understand, it's been laughably uninformed, boomer bullshit or the most obvious possible take. That makes me wonder: how full of shit are they regarding the medical expertise I do not possess?

Doctor's offices are high volume businesses. The ideal patient is one who quickly mentions a keyword that matches a prescription the doctor can write and have you out of the office in under 15 minutes.

Basically I'm /fit/ and my friend was put on test p. by his doctor, at a highly suboptimal dosage and timing for TRT, and now his doctor cut his TRT cold turkey and swapped him to HGH for no reason, because he thinks HGH will make him "feel better and get bigger and stronger"
