Can anyone tell me the formula to convert C to F? Not in the usual way which is just *1.8+32 but here's my example: See Missouri on the map there? It's forecast to be 6 degrees Celcius below average over the next 10 days by this CFS climate model. How many degrees F colder than average is that? I know it's not 42.8

Just use the proper units, why would you convert it to something retarded?
Water freezes at 0 C and boils at 100 C
Body temperature is 37 C
25 C is room temperature, if it gets hotter, you don't feel comfortable
hot tea starts at 50 C, 70 C is the hottest tea you can handle without getting burns
+35 C is a heatwave, +50 C is dangerous for life

The reason I want to convert it to F is so I can announce it to my weather group on Zello and have them understand how many degrees F on average it's going to be colder than usual (anomaly). Americans, you know?

Erm, I never really had to know why it was times 1.8 - but I think what you're getting at is multiply by 1.8 and don't add 32, right? To the poster who put the lovely equation, thanks but I don't know how to interpret it.

Final bump. I got it!
0 C = 32 F
1 C = 33.8 F (+1.8 deg)
2 C = 35.6 (+1.8 deg)
So it's just degrees C x 1.8 = degrees F

Yes. Every time you go up 1 degree in one scale, you go up 1.8 degrees in the other. The +32 is to account for the fact the scales are offset relative to each other, but that only matters when you're dealing with absolute temperatures rather than differences.

use just the factor, the +32 is there to make sure freezing temperature is 0ºC

6ºC * 1.8 = 10.8 F
