Which is the best language for math students? With graphics support? Python's graphics are scattered and Pascal seems all in one already? Are there other options?

By "scattered" you mean Python has multiple graphics libraries with different features.

This is the case for all languages. They all have multiple graphics libraries.

What you need is a single library with all the features you're looking for. But really, there's nothing wrong with using multiple libraries. You're just a fag.

you should know C/C++ and one high level language. Python is generally safe if only because it has a massive amount of support and users though the language itself is suboptimal

I prefer matlab. Mostlt because I got used to it. MATLAB removes a lot of the fat so you can script quickly and do math quickly.

maybe math students don't need it but knowing C or C++ allows you to write code for performance. theres a reason that CS academics still use C++. other languages simply have too much runtime overhead, so you can't get publishable results with them.

That has nothing to do with what they were talking about, unless you somehow believe C and C++ are the only languages that support parallelization.

C/C++, required in most grad programs for applied math/CS
Java/Python, brainlet cope last resort languages.

I'm pretty sure you have never written anything in C that was parallel. Its fine when writing kernel modules since it kind of holds your hand but writing something from scratch is a huge pain. Figuring out the best ways to share data. How to to manage your threads. How to free data that's being shared. Python you just use data structures and they come with locking for free plus other shit that makes it easy to communicate across threads with.
