I was beginning to read a book on Pure Mathematics the other day, but then i got filtered as soon as it started mentioning without explaining high school math, and realized i needed to start with something more elementary

I know this book covers extremely advanced topics but does it atleast start basic? If not what better book is there to start progressing past a middle school level?
