Just a question on notation. I am trying to use $/dim$ to indicate the shape of any mathematical object, like it's used in R. So for a matrix:
$$<br /> A= \begin{matrix}<br /> 1 &amp; 2 &amp; 3\\<br /> 4 &amp; 5 &amp; 6<br /> \end{matrix}<br />$$
$/dim(A)=2\times3$. Or for some nested set (this is really why I need something like this) $B=\{\{\{1,23,4\},\{2,34,6\}\},\{\{13,233,43\},\{23,334,36\}\}\}$, $/dim(B)=2,2,3$. Is this bad notation? Is there something better that I could use or is this ok?
