I recommend you don't bother with this. You will lose money. But in the event you actually want to try I can tell you this.

Don't even think about strategies to start. You need data. Data is king in trading. If you don't have data your strategies don't matter.
Alpha is "extracted" from data sources. But everyone likes to skip to the middle and try to find alpha. But like all endeavors, the best place to start is at the beginning, which is data in this case.

You will ignore me, and probably lose money. Have fun.
