I read the original french version. As an undergraduate in biology, it was a book cited in lectures of history of biology. The professor said to buy the book, read it, conserve it preciously because it is a gem.

I have. And he was right. It explains the history of ideas, experiences and paradigms from Antiquity to 20th century.
Read "A History of Molecular Biology" from the same author for going yet still further in history

during lockdown, I stopped learning biology and instead passed all my time on my computer learning a lot of CS stuff and how to program.
So I forgot part of what I had learned and got 9.5/20, just below the 10 mark
So know I want to get a job as programmer, get a flat and then continue where I left off
