go to khan academy, watch all their maths videos from pre-school to college level.

that should cover everything from things like logarithms, to derivatives to set notation.

you can watch the easy stuff at 2x the normal speed to get through them quicker

and only watch the videos, no need to do the problems.

if you have a lo t of free time you could get through them all in a few weeks, maybe a few months if you take it slow.

not everyone learns at the same pace though, OP could be right brained. My advice for OP: Go into math with a optimist mindset, use flashcards so you can study on the go, Feynman technique, go on freecodecamp.org and learn some basic code skills as it really helps better understand sequences.

true. im really only talking from my own experience when i used this as a method to revise my maths from high school for an engineering degree after taking some time off in between

khan academy is still a really really useful site though for learning maths. the guys who makes the videos is a very good explainer

My problem with khan academy is that while their videos are really good, their notes aren't that great. I watched the videos once and then read the notes and do the tests for revision. I've gotten good at solving problems thanks to the exercises, but I'm really bad at definitions and theory. Like, I can solve systems of equations, but can't define what they are. It'd take far too long to rewatch every video when I do revision. Should I get a book to supplement, or maybe try cliffsnotes or something?

are you the OP? if all you want is to understand that slide, just watching the videos would be sufficient i think as it covers everything. if you want something more formal then you are going to have to follow a university curriculum.

and if you really take an interest and have the time then the notes they provide and some of the problems are also good.

but the main thing is the videos.

however much you feel comfortable doing. there's no point watching a video if you are too tried to concentrate. ideally, you should be able to start going through them and figure out how long they take you to get through and budget your time in a way that meets your schedule.
